The School Choice program allows parents to send their children to schools in communities other than the city or town they reside. Tuition is paid by the sending district to the receiving district. Districts may elect not to enroll school choice students if no space is available.
The Westport Community Schools has elected to participate in school choice for the 2017-2018 school year. On May 4, 2017, the School Committee voted to accept ten students in Grade 9 and ten students in Grade 12. Applications will be accepted until 1 PM on Friday, June 23rd. If there are more applications than available seats, a lottery will be conducted at 1 PM on June 23rd.. The lottery will take place in the Westport Junior/Senior High School Media Center.

Applications are also available in the Superintendent’s office located at 19 Main Road in Westport. The application may be mailed to or dropped off at the Superintendent’s Office.
