The mission of the Westport Community School ELE Program is to foster linguistic proficiency and cultural fluency among our students. We believe in the value of linguistic diversity and aim to equip our English Language Education with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their academic pursuits and beyond.

Our ELE program offers a range of services to meet the unique needs of English Language Education. From specialized language instruction to cultural integration activities, we provide a comprehensive support system. Our dedicated teachers and support staff work collaboratively to create an inclusive learning environment that promotes both language acquisition and academic success.

Interpretation and translation are available to all Westport Community School families.  We want all parents and legal guardians to benefit from meaningful access to all information, programs, opportunities, and services pertaining to their children’s education regardless of their home language.  

Parents/Guardians: If you need translation and interpretation services, contact the main office of your child/children(s) school. Additionally, you may email the ELE office.  Please feel free to review the DOJ Fact Sheet  that clarifies your language access rights. (Translations of fact sheets are available at the US Department of Education website.)
