We're Walking to School again!

As part of the Mass DOT, Safe Routes to School - on Monday April 25th our students will be dropped off at WMS on the Library Side between 8:15-8:35 and the students will walk up to the Elementary School at 8:40. Please join us for such a great event!

Special Thank you to WES-MAC PTO

Thanks to the WES-MAC PTO for providing our students and families with a wonderful experience at the Holiday Shoppe on Saturday, December 5th. Numerous fun-filled activities, great vendors, a visit from Santa, the MAC chorus, good food and the student holiday shoppe were highlights of the day!

Camfel Productions will be visiting with our students.

Camfel is a non-profit organization that specializes in producing character-building resources for schools across the nation. Their mission is to strive to motivate and encourage students to be the best they can be by first understanding and acknowledging the problems they face on a daily basis, and then by offering solutions in a format they can relate to.

Grades 3 & 4 will see "Be a Hero" and Grades 5 & 6 will see "Be Amazing". See Descriptions.

RE: Actions and Consequences

All students are expected to adhere to Westport Community Schools Policy No. JIC-R (Actions and Consequences). Failure to do so could result in loss of dance privileges and all school sponsored activities. This policy can be viewed on the school website under WES Student Handbook (pages 10 & 11).

Please be advised that as of today, October 19, 2015, any student who receives a detention, a suspension, or a loss of bus privilege will not be allowed to attend the next scheduled school dance.

A special Thank you to the Concerts on the Point!

For the third year, Concerts on the Point has funded the New Bedford Symphony to come to WES with their Learning in Concert Program. Students where shown adaptations in music showing motion and animals in motion. Thank you for this wonderful program!
