Grades 3 & 4 will TEAM TEACH this year!

Our 3rd and 4th grade students will now have 2 teachers. One teacher for Math/Science and one teacher for ELA/Social Studies. Click on the words TEAM TEACH (above) to see the chart of your student's teachers.

CORI forms

EVERY year parents and guardians NEED to fill out a new CORI form to volunteer in the schools around the students. Please print and fill out this attached paperwork and BRING it with your license to a school for copying. (Fingerprinting is mandatory for Field Trips and once you have that done you do not need to do that yearly.)

BUS change forms for 2017-2018

If your student is NOT busing to and from the HOME ADDRESS we have on file at the schools, you MUST fill out a NEW bus form for a Change of Address for them. Please return file via fax, person or email NO LATER than August 4, 2017.

Camp Invention is coming back this Summer!

Westport Elementary School will be hosting another year of Camp Invention! From July 24-28, students will have the opportunity to work with their hands and their minds in lots of STEM-filled activities! Please see the attached flyer.

rEAD for EAD

Former student, Michaella Lesieur brought her reading program to WES!
Having students read books they enjoy and celebrating their success in reading with a visit from WPRI Channel 12, Eyewitness News anchor Patrick Little! Students had an assembly learning about EAD (Eosinophil-Associated Disease).
Eosinophils are a type of white blood cells and they play an important part of our immune system. Eosinophils help us fight off certain types of infections, such as parasites. Many different problems can cause high numbers of eosinophils in the blood including allergies (food and environmental), certain infections (caused by parasites), eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders, leukemia, and other problems.
