September 2019

Hello Westport Community:

The Westport Community Schools is pleased to introduce our second adult education series.  These classes range from opportunities for members of the community to get some physical activity or learn a new skill.  The classes will also provide a chance for members of the community to utilize our school buildings as a community resource.  In the Spring, we ran our first round of workshop offerings. There was great participation and helpful feedback from participants in our Spring offering.  This helped us to frame out the workshops offered for the fall.

It is an exciting time to be in Westport – as we make preparations for the opening of the new building in 2021 which will house students in grades 5-12, I anticipate that we will be able to continue to grow our adult education program offerings, utilizing the state-of-the-art resources that will be in the new building.

I hope there is a course offering that piques your interest for our 2019 Fall offerings.

If you have suggestions for offerings that we might want to consider in the future, please feel free to reach out and share your thoughts.  Additionally, if you have a special skill or talent that you would like to share with members of the community, please contact me as well. We will be developing our Winter 2019 (March - April 2020) offerings list in December.
