Robert F. Kennedy Speech-Mindless Menace of Violence

This speech was given by Senator Robert F. Kennedy on April 5, 1968, the day after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is as relevant today as it was in 1968. On June 5, 1968, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was shot three times after giving a speech at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Robert Kennedy died of his wounds 26 hours later. Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian immigrant, is serving a life sentence in prison for the assassination of Robert Kennedy.
