WESTPORT — Interim Superintendent Thomas F. Aubin and Principal Cheryl Greeson are pleased to share that remote registration for the Alice A. Macomber School’s full-day kindergarten program will begin next month. All Westport children who will reach the age of 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2021 are eligible to be registered to attend kindergarten at the Macomber School for the 2021-2022 school year. WESTPORT — Interim Superintendent Thomas F. Aubin is pleased to announce that the Westport Community Schools has raised $611 for Forever Paws Animal Shelter through a bake sale and raffle.  The fundraiser was connected to a multidisciplinary unit at Westport Junior Senior High School where students learned about holidays celebrated in various cultures and then cooked traditional food items from those holidays. Event Will Be Streamed on Twitch Platform This Coming Thursday WESTPORT — Interim Superintendent Thomas F. Aubin is pleased to announce that the Westport High School Wildcats Rocket League team will be playing live against local rivals Bishop Stang High School this Thursday. Aubin would like to provide members of the Westport Community Schools and the general public with an update regarding the district’s COVID-19 protocols and safety measures. As of Monday, Nov. 30, only one transmission case from student to student or student to staff has occurred in the schools. This is despite students at the Alice A. WESTPORT — Interim Superintendent Thomas F. Aubin reports that the Westport Community Schools will remain open despite rising COVID-19 cases in the Town of Westport. On Thursday, Nov. 12, the Town of Westport posted a message on its homepage stating that effective Monday, Nov. 16, all Town buildings will be closed to the public except by appointment only. This is due to positive COVID-19 cases increasing in town over the past several weeks. This order does not include the Westport Community Schools. Infection rates within the school district remain low, and schools will remain open under the district’s current learning

WESTPORT — Interim Superintendent Thomas F. Aubin is pleased to announce that several Westport High School students are among students statewide to receive a John and Abigail Adams Scholarship this year. This scholarship is available to students whose MCAS performance puts them in the top 25% of their district. To be eligible, students must either score Advanced on the English, Math and Science exams, or Advanced on one exam and High Proficient on the other two.
