Welcome to Westport Community Schools. As a new hire, there are several documents you’ll need to complete prior to being fully on boarded as a employee. This packet is available from the Human Resources Office. She will call you for an appointment after your interview with the Superintendent of Schools.
These documents contained in your New Hire folder must be submitted NO LATER than the day prior to starting at Westport Community Schools. As a reminder, you will not receive a letter of appointment until these documents have been submitted.
*Please DO NOT print these documents unless an error is made, for most accurate and up to date please use the documents in your packet!*
To be submitted to Human Resources:
Please submit your official college transcripts (remember to include all credits for proper lane credit on the WFT Collective Bargaining Agreement Salary Scale) and your MA DESE license if applicable for your position. Specialists (Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, etc.) please submit a copy of your license (Allied Health or R.N.).
Benefits Information to be submitted to the Town of Westport Treasurer’s Office. This packet must be completed no later than your FIFTH day of employment. Please visit the Treasurer REGARDLESS of whether or not you are accepting benefits.

Any questions regarding the above please call the Treasurer’s Office at (508) 636-1007. As a reminder, if you elect not to obtain any benefits you may be required to wait until open enrollment or a qualifying event (marriage, birth, death, divorce) to add.
If you have already been fingerprinted for another DESE organization and you meet the information below, please request to have your suitability determination sent directly from your previous employer to the Westport Community Schools Human Resources & Data Administrator.
When an individual for whom a school employer or the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has made a suitability determination applies to work for a school employer, the school employer may obtain and may rely on a favorable suitability determination, if the following criteria are met:
