Principal's Message

Dear Macomber Families,

Welcome to the Macomber School. It is with great pleasure that I have the privilege of being the Principal to this wonderful community of learners and dedicated educators. After the long school closure due to the pandemic, it was so exhilarating to open our school doors and welcome back the students! We have settled into rhythm of the school year and although there many differences than in previous years and some unique challenges, we have also been able to maintain many of the traditions and routines that are important to our school.

Do not hesitate to contact us at  (508) 678-8671 with any concerns or questions. In a typical year, we would welcome families in for school activities and to volunteer in different capacities. At this time, we are not able to welcome you in, in person, but we will continue to find ways for families to connect with the school!  We want you to be true partners in the joyful and exciting educational journey of your children!

All of us at Macomber are looking forward to working with you and your children this school year! Here at the MAC we are all PAWS in!

Respectfully,

Stacey Duquette
Principal

Please click the link below to access the Westport Community Schools Institutional Self-Evaluation. This self-evaluation is to be completed annually to ensure that all students, regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, limited English proficiency, sexual orientation, disability, or housing status, have equal access to all programs, including athletics and other extracurricular activities. Your feedback regarding these matters is critically important, and will be used in the development of a plan to address any identified areas of focus.

Thank you ladies for all that you do!!!

Kindergarteners were dressed shiny and bright to ring in the New Year today. They also showed their team team spirit by wearing Patriots gear.

Students in Ms. Thomas’ Kindergarten Class:

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears 🐻🐻🐻.

We have been reading and exploring the story Goldilocks and

the Three Bears this week.

🐻 We learned about characters, setting, plot and retelling.

🐻 We acted out the story (fan favorite!)

🐻 We created baby bear's bed using various materials working on problem solving, fine motor skills and perseverance!
