Principal's Message

Dear WES Wildcat Families,

Welcome to the 2022–2023 school year at Westport Elementary School, Home of the WES Wildcats! WES is a special place with dedicated teachers & staff. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to be the Principal of both Westport Elementary and Macomber Primary School. I am excited to work collaboratively with Mr. Aguiar, our new Assistant Principal, and our staff to create a safe environment that encourages creativity and growth for all.

The WES staff is committed to making a positive difference in all children who enter our school. We value home and school communication and invite families to work in partnership with us to ensure that children reach their full potential.

I encourage you to become involved in our school in a way that fits your time and interests. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

Mrs. Stacey Duquette

Assistant Principal's Message

Dear WES Wildcat Families,

I am very happy to be working as the Assistant Principal for both the Macomber Primary School and the Westport Elementary School this year. My number one priority will be to work with Principal Duquette and the staff at both schools to provide top-notch quality education to all students from Preschool-Grade 4.   Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas to improve our schools.  I am looking forward to a great school year!

Mr. Kevin Aguiar

Assistant Principal

The following students were chosen as the Westport Elementary School finalist in the Massachusetts School Library Association Bookmark contest. They will now compete at the statewide level in their respective divisions. Congratulations and best wishes to all three of our Lady Wildcats!

This self-evaluation is to be completed annually to ensure that all students, regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, limited English proficiency, sexual orientation, disability, or housing status, have equal access to all programs, including athletics and other extracurricular activities. Your feedback regarding these matters is critically important and will be used in the development of a plan to address any identified areas of focus.

Thank you to the Westport Education Foundation for their support in the WES Integrated Arts Chinese New Year performance. Students traveled through their specialist classes learning all about the Chinese New Year and performed a traditional lion head dance to culminate the unit
