A Message From our Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Wildcat Students:
It is with great excitement that I begin the 2023 year as the principal of Westport Middle High School! Fifteen years ago I started my career as a math teacher at WHS, and I am ecstatic to be back working alongside the families and staff of Westport High School in supporting the educational, social, and emotional needs of students in these grades while continuing to oversee the wonderful happenings at Westport Middle School. I would like to thank Dr. McKinnon for her hard work at WHS over the past three years and wish her well in her new role in Somerset.
The mission of the Westport Middle High School is to educate all students to become 21st century learners, to seek and value knowledge, and to emerge as productive citizens in a global community. I hold all students to high standards for their individual success and commitment to the school’s mission statement while fostering an inclusive Wildcat community. Education is a collaborative effort between families and the school community, and open communication is critical for a student’s success. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns regarding your child(ren).
On behalf of the entire Westport Middle High School administration and staff, I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2023. Go Wildcats!
Sincerely,
Westport Middle High School Principal

Students will be engaged with hands-on opportunities, videos, demonstrations, and “create your own” activities. As a cumulative program students will design and implement a final presentation demonstrating competency, both theoretical and practical, in a culinary content area.
Please click the link below to access the Westport Community Schools Institutional Self-Evaluation. This self-evaluation is to be completed annually to ensure that all students, regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, limited English proficiency, sexual orientation, disability, or housing status, have equal access to all programs, including athletics and other extracurricular activities. Your feedback regarding these matters is critically important, and will be used in the development of a plan to address any identified areas of focus.
