Westport High School

The mission of Westport High School is to provide a safe cooperative learning environment where all students take pride in learning skills, developing talents, and gaining knowledge which prepares individuals to reach their full potential and to become productive members of society.

A Message From our Principal

Welcome Wildcats to the 2021-2022 school year!

The purpose of this website is to provide parents, students, and our school community with information about Westport High School’s programs, activities, and policies. As we will be transitioning to a new website potentially in October 2021, we ask for your patience as we work on updating this information as quickly as possible.

Westport High School’s mission is “to provide a safe, cooperative learning environment where all students take pride in learning skills, developing talents, and gaining knowledge which prepares individuals to reach their full potential and to become productive members of society.” To accomplish this, I persuade students to become active participants in our academic curricula and extracurricular activities. Additionally, I invite students and parents to recommend academic courses and extracurricular activities offerings that are not currently observed in Westport to ensure that WHS continually evolves to provide the most comprehensive learning experience possible.

As we venture through a school year that is still permeated by the COVID pandemic, I
encourage students and parents to contact the building administrative team for ongoing
guidance and support. Mr. Kevin Aguiar is Westport High School’s Assistant Principal. Mr.
Aguiar can be contacted via email. Additionally, I can be contacted via email

Mr. Aguiar and I look forward to a great 2021-2022 school year with our Wildcats!

Dr. Kerri McKinnon
Westport High School Principal

I encourage all students and parents to reach out to me if I can be of any assistance throughout the school year as well as during the summer.

Mr. Kevin Aguiar
Westport High School Assistant Principal

Please click the link below to access the Westport Community Schools Institutional Self-Evaluation. This self-evaluation is to be completed annually to ensure that all students, regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, limited English proficiency, sexual orientation, disability, or housing status, have equal access to all programs, including athletics and other extracurricular activities. Your feedback regarding these matters is critically important, and will be used in the development of a plan to address any identified areas of focus.
