Principal's Message

Dear Westport Elementary School Families,

I want to thank you for your support during my first year as the Principal of Westport Elementary.  We had a great first year with many successful activities and academic opportunities for our students.  I have to give credit to our amazing staff for their dedication, creativity and competence for all of our successes.

I would like to demonstrate continuous improvement at the WES this school year and for this I ask for your continued support.  As we did this past year, we will be sending out a newsletter (at least monthly) in addition to updates at various times to keep all of our families informed about all things at WES.  Please be sure to check our website and utilize the online community portal to stay updated on your child’s progress throughout the year.

Please reach out to me with any questions at any time so that I can assist in a timely manner.

Sincerely,

Mr. Kevin Aguiar

Westport Elementary School Principal

Message from our Assistant Principal

Greetings Parents, Guardians, and Wildcat Students,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Westport Elementary School! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable summer break filled with lasting memories.

As your new Assistant Principal, I am thrilled to begin this journey with each of you. Whether you are returning students or joining us for the first time, I extend a warm welcome to all. My commitment at WES is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a former elementary school teacher, and administrator, it is exciting for me to bring my experience from the Westport Middle High School back to the elementary population again. With the support of our dedicated faculty and staff, I am confident that we will achieve great success together.

I encourage you to stay informed about school events, activities, and important updates by regularly visiting our school website and following us on social media platforms. Communication between home and school is vital, and we value your involvement in your child’s education!

Please feel free to reach out to me or if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. Together, we can make this school year outstanding for every student.

Once again, welcome back! Let’s make this a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Respectfully,
Sean Persico
Westport Elementary School Assistant Principal

On October 15th in Ms. Flynn’s class, we had two amazing parent volunteers join us for a fun Halloween craft! ðŸŽƒ The students decorated spooky masks and then we kicked off an impromptu dance party. ðŸ•ºðŸ’ƒ To top it off, everyone got a special treat! Huge thanks to our visitors for making it such a fun day in the classroom! Happy (early) Halloween! ðŸ‘»
