Greetings Westport Wildcats!

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying these early days of summer. As your principal, I'm thrilled to welcome you back in the fall for what promises to be an exciting and rewarding school year at Westport Middle High School.

First and foremost, I wish each of you a relaxing, restful, and fun-filled summer break. Whether you spend time at the beach, travel to new places, dive into summer reading, or simply enjoy quality time with family and friends, I trust you will recharge your batteries and will be ready to soar into the new academic year.

As we prepare to open our doors for another year of learning and growth, I'm filled with optimism about what lies ahead. Our dedicated faculty and staff work tirelessly to create engaging lessons, exciting projects, and meaningful experiences that will challenge and inspire you.

At Westport Middle High School, we're committed to helping each student reach their full potential. This year, we're focusing on three key areas of growth:

3. Emotional Well-being: Our counseling team is expanding its resources to support your mental health and provide tools for managing stress and anxiety.

We're thrilled to introduce several new programs this year, including:

- Expanded STEAM curriculum with hands-on learning opportunities

- A peer mentoring program to support MS and HS students

- Enhanced college and career readiness for our high school students through Innovation Career Pathways

Welcome back to a brand new school year at Westport Middle-High School! I hope you had a restful and joyful summer and are returning refreshed, recharged, and ready to embark on an exciting journey of learning and growth.

My name is Sean Persico, and I’m thrilled to be returning as your Assistant Principal for the middle school. Whether you’re a returning student or joining us for the first time, know that you are a valued member of our school community. We are so excited to see the energy, creativity, and potential each of you brings into our classrooms and hallways.

This year, we are focusing on academic excellence, social development, and emotional wellbeing. Together, we will work to create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and inspired to do their best.
