The Westport Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is based on the standards of scholarship, character, leadership, service, and citizenship. Members are selected based on scholarship demonstrated by grades of 93 or better in the core subjects of ELA, math, science, and social studies. Students in algebra need a grade of 85 or better. Unsatisfactory citizenship grades will eliminate a student from membership. Eligible students must submit a completed Candidate Form for consideration by the five member faculty council. If selected, students are inducted at the Chapter’s Annual Induction Ceremony. Active members must maintain the obligations of membership.
