About OST

Children in grades 1-4 are transported daily to the Former Middle/High School for aftercare, where our families can trust that their children are being cared for in the most safe, fun, and caring environment. The ability to utilize the former high school has been a wonderful experience for both the students and their families. The gymnasium is used daily for physical activity, and with the additional space, students have a wide variety of activities to choose from, such as Yoga, arts and crafts, and even music! We also have had great success with our Homework Club, offering assistance to our families who would like to have work completed before children leave the Program. 

The Cub Club is held at the Macomber Primary School, and is open to children in preschool, pre-K, and Kindergarten.  Children enrolled are able to be creative with arts and crafts, dramatic play, fun in the sandbox, music, and also learn routines that are helpful as they prepare for Kindergarten. The program remains open until 5:30 P.M for families, and the children have a blast! 

Morning care is held at the Westport Elementary School, where families can drop off their children as early as 7am. All of our Kindergartners are placed on a bus by our OST staff, transported over to the Macomber Primary School, and are then received by their teachers who get them to their classrooms safely.

The Out of School Time Program also offers care during February and April vacations, and remains open for seven weeks throughout the Summer. During school vacation weeks, care is provided from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Vacation Camps are held at the Former Middle/High School. We do not provide care if the school district is closed due to inclement weather.
