Westport Special Education Parent Advisory Council
Westport’s (MA) Parent Advisory Committee for Special Education

A group of parents working together with Westport Community Schools to support inclusion and success of all students.
We are a group of parents/caregivers and educators making an effort to understand, respect, and support appropriate education for all children with special needs in our community.
What is SEPAC?
The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is established under Massachusetts law to serve as a voice for parents and guardians. SEPAC works in collaboration with the Westport School Department administration and the School Committee to advise on matters related to special education programs, policies, and services.
Participation is free and open to all who are interested in:
-
Learning how to best advocate for their child’s individual needs
-
Accessing community resources and support
-
Expanding their knowledge of special education through training and workshops
-
Obtaining information about available services for children with learning differences
